  • Anti-Ragging measures
  • i. Constitution of Anti-Ragging Committee consisting of representatives of faculty members, parents of students belonging to fresher’s category as well as seniors and Non-Teaching Staff.
  • ii. Constitution of Anti-Ragging squads consisting of various sections of the campus community. It shall keep a vigil, oversee and patrolling functions. It shall be kept mobile, alert and active at all times to make surprise raids.
  • iii. Displaying of the flexi boards, posters leaflets indicating the Toll Free Anti-Ragging helpline.
  • iv. Every fresh student admitted in the institution shall be given a printed leaflet detailing when and to whom he/she has to turn to for help and guidance for various purposes with addresses and telephone numbers.
  • v. First year class schedule should be staggered. Junior students should come to the college early and to leave first.
  • vi. Teachers taking the first year classes shall leave the class at the end of the period only after the next teacher arrives.
  • vii. Confidential boxes shall be installed at Colleges/Hostel premises to receive the complaints of the junior students to know about ragging incidents, if any.

  • ix. The new entrants to the hostels shall be accommodated in separate building away from other hostel buildings where the senior students reside.
  • x. Rules & Regulations which are mandatory in nature may be downloaded from UGC website www.ugc.ac.in.
  • xi. Inform the Police authorities immediately soon after the ragging complaint is received for taking penal action.
  • xii. The details of Anti-Ragging Committees of the Colleges with mobile numbers / e-mail addresses of Nodal Officers to whom the complaints of ragging can be made must be sent to the University immediately for hosting in the University web site.
  • xiii. Make it compulsory for each student and every parent to submit undertaking every academic year.
  • xiv. Work out a road-map of action for the guidance of Colleges and Polytechnics to include the items like holding of conferences, seminars, conducting of workshops and classes for self-defence of girls.
