Expertise in one line : Popularizing IPM practices, developing entrepreneurs in Mushroom cultivation, Bee keeping
Notable contributions :
Made 150 diagnostic field visits along with DRC, ATMA, Dept. Of Agriculture staff as and when required.
Conducted 62 trainings, acted as resource person for 35 guest lectures on IPM in major crops, beekeeping, mushroom cultivation.
Conducted 45 FLDs, 24 OFTs in farmers fields. Created awareness on management practices for pink
bollworm in cotton,Fall armyworm in maize & Jowar and thrips in chilli through diagnostic visits,
print and electronic media and made the farmers to adopt the improved practices and achieved 100%
adoption. Introduced JGL 3844 in paddy resistant to Gall midge, TBG – 104 in Black gram against YMV,
TRG – 59, LRG 52 and LRG 105 against SMD and wilt. Conducted Agriculture Drone demonstrations in
farmers fields and achieved 75% adoption rate. Initiated paid training programme on mushroom
cultivation in KVK, Utukur. Maintaining Mushroom cultivation demo unit in which milky and oyster
mushrooms are cultivated throughout the year. Conducted mushroom training to 20 members under ASCI
for 200 hours. Acted as Co-PI for ARYA Project under mushroom cultivation and encouraged rural youth
to grow as mushroom entrepreneurs. Played key role in developing 52 entrepreneurs and they are able
to earn a monthly income of Rs. 15,000/-. organized two certificate certificate courses on INM with
a batch of 30 members with the cooperation of MANAGE, SAMETHI, DCO, MARKFED.
