As a researcher worked on agronomic aspects of tribal crops at RARS, Chintapalle. Worked on Rice, Maize, Niger, Chickpea, Wheat, Barley, Redgram and millet crops in tribal area. Collected around 2000 Nos of germplasm and evaluated them as a part of NATP and ICAR adhoc schemes.
Studied the Integrated Farming Systems (Rice + Fish and Rice + Poultry and Sugarcane based IFS).
At ARS, Ragolu conducted agronomic research on rice on profitable rice based cropping systems.
Standardised the agrotechniques for rice fallow pulses for North Coastal Zone.
At RARS, Anakapalle standardised agrotechniques for micropropagated plantlets of Sugarcane, creeper weed management and alternate cropping systems to sugarcane.
Conducted the long term trials on Organic rice, Natural farming in Sugarcane and Rice-Pulse system.
Worked as Farm Superintendent at RARS, Anakapalle for
9 years and taken up renovation work of farm after Hudhud cyclone like laying of underground electrical cables, renovation of irrigation system, renovation of old Agronomy building & staff quarters, providing new bore wells etc.,
Taught Five UG courses and two PG courses of Agronomy at Agricultural College, Naira.
As chairman, guided 11 M.Sc students of Agronomy from 2014-2026.
Taken up the seed production activity of Rice and Sugarcane and other ID crops at RARS, Anakapalle.
Organised two Kisan Melas at ARS, Ragolu during 2018 and 2019.
As Principal Scientist (Agronomy) contributed technical information on Rice fallow Rabi ID crops alternate to rabi paddy for Vyavasaya Panchangam.
Worked as Principal Scientist & Head from 2010-2014 and from 2017-2020 at ARS, Ragolu and at University level was awarded the Best Research Station under Category B for 2017-18 at REAC meeting held at RARS, Tirupathi.
