Notable contributions :

Developed and released various crop varieties viz., Redgram variety (LRG 52), one Castor hybrid (PCH 111), two cotton varieties (LHDP Cotton 1 and LHDP Cotton 5), one cotton interspecific hybrid (LAHB Cotton 1), and nine Rice varieties (MTU Rice 1280, MTU Rice 1281, MTU Rice 1273, MTU Rice 1293, MTU Rice 1310, MTU Rice 1321, MTU Rice 1232, MTU Rice 1318 & MTU Rice 1271), all of which are highly acclaimed by the farming community.
Handled several externally funded projects, including the Tropical Legumes-II project funded by ICRISAT, the RKVY-Redgram breeding project, the RKVY-Groundnut breeding project at ARS, Darsi, the IRRI-Breeding Program Modernization, and the DBT-Land Race Project at RARS, Maruteru.
In the academic realm, guided six M.Sc. (Ag.) Genetics & Plant Breeding students, three M.Sc. (MBB) students, and five Ph.D. (MBB) students through their research projects as Chairman and Member of the advisory committee.

Redgram, Cotton and Rice improvement with improved traits such as disease resistance, drought tolerance, and higher yield.
