20 years of professional experience in teaching, research and technology development in Agricultural Engineering,
with experience in ANGRAU, ICRISAT, CRIDA and Winrock International India. Major expertise covers Farm Machinery
& Power Engineering, agricultural mechanization, farm machinery design, development and testing, agricultural
robotics and automation, remote-controlled machinery, drones, mechatronics and bioenergy applications.
Significant contribution to the establishment and operationalization of the Government of India-authorized
Farm Machinery Testing Centre at AICRP on Farm Implements and Machinery, ANGRAU, Bapatla, strengthening
institutional capacity for farm machinery testing, performance evaluation and certification.
Major technology development and mechanization contributions include a robotic electric tracked vehicle
integrated with multi-crop planter, intercultivator and sprayer; tractor-mounted maize cob harvester and
leaf stripping machine; robotic E-Prime mower with planting, intercultivation and spraying attachments
for dryland agriculture; petrol engine-operated remote-controlled dryland weeder; tractor-drawn
planter-cum-herbicide applicator; tractor-drawn precision multi-crop planter; and multifunctional paddy
transplanter attachments for weeding, spraying, fertilizer application and wet direct sowing.
Conducted Prototype Feasibility Testing and Front Line Demonstrations of farm machinery and equipment
suitable for Andhra Pradesh farming conditions, covering machinery such as millet thresher, mat-type
nursery seeder, maize harvester, auger plough, pneumatic planter, millet planter and multi-crop planter,
supporting performance validation, technology transfer and field-level adoption.
Externally funded and industry-sponsored research projects include the DST-sponsored Chilli Harvester
Project, MRF Tyres-sponsored Tyre Testing Project, JK Tyre-sponsored Testing Project, and the
Corteva-sponsored research project entitled “Development of Indigenous Corn Cob Picker-cum-Dehusker
Suitable for Seed Production Plot.”
Research and development activities encompass agricultural robotics, precision mechanization, drone
applications, remote-controlled machinery, chilli harvesting and sorting, paddy mechanization,
mechatronics, bioenergy and farm machinery testing.
